A Reason to Celebrate

Today, I get to celebrate another year.

And for the last few years, my birthday has also become a moment when I inevitably find myself thinking about PinMe 1913.

Where it started. Where it is. Where I want it to go next.

I am naturally a person who reflects, assesses, pulls things apart, puts them back together, and looks for another way in. It shows up in my work as an actor. It shows up in the way I study craft. And it absolutely shows up in PinMe, which probably explains why one design can somehow become 75 variations before I decide I am finished.

On my birthday, though, I give myself permission to set the list aside.

For one day, I intentionally celebrate what PinMe has already become.

I celebrate the ideas that made it out of my head and into the world. The collections that began as a single thought. The designs that became part of someone else’s milestone, memory, celebration, or story. And I celebrate every person who has chosen to make PinMe part of how they adorn themselves.

Tomorrow, I will return to the list.

I will look again at where PinMe needs to grow, what I need to learn, what needs to be strengthened, and what needs to be built next. One item at a time, I will continue doing the work required to bring you original, luxurious, exceptionally detailed designs with the level of craftsmanship I expect from PinMe 1913.

But today, I celebrate.
