Founder Reflection: Some Things Have to Be Seen in Person

There are moments when I wish every customer could see a PinMe 1913 design before deciding whether to purchase it.
Not because the photographs aren’t good.
But because sometimes a photograph simply isn’t enough.
There is something that happens when light catches the stones.
There is something about the weight of a piece in your hand.
There is something about seeing the scale, the dimension, the craftsmanship, and the details with your own eyes that no image can completely capture.
I take every product photograph myself.
Every image you see on the PinMe 1913 website has passed through my hands before it reaches yours.
I do my best to tell the story honestly.
I photograph each piece from multiple angles.
I create videos because movement reveals details a still image can’t.
I share styling photos because seeing a piece worn tells a different story than seeing it against a white background.
Still, there are moments when I look at a design and think, “I wish you could see this one in person.”
Because some designs sparkle differently when they move.
Some details only reveal themselves when the light shifts.
Some pieces simply have a presence that doesn’t fully translate through a screen.
It’s one of the beautiful challenges of creating physical objects in a digital world.
Until the day we meet at a pop-up, an event, or you open your package for the first time, I’m asking photography to do something it was never meant to do.
To replace an experience.
It can’t.
The best it can do is offer an invitation.
The real story begins the moment the piece is in your hands.
